These people also run the old tea rooms opposite. When asked about what was offered for vegetarian coeliacs I was told I could just tell em what I would like and they would cook it. Ended up with pasta with vegetables in tomato base with a few chilli flakes. Gorgeous. So helpful and accommodating

We have used this restaurant many times and highly recommend you call. The meals are freshly cooked to very high standard and we can't fault them in anyway. Had a lovely meal here, I had the salmon and my partner had the cod. Both cooked to perfection and generous portions. Staff were friendly and courteous, service was good too. Went with a couple of friends on Sunday evening of Bank holiday weekend. Lucky to get a table. Very friendly service. Reasonable wine and decent food.

This was our second visit to The Captain's table and we were just as impressed as we were the first time. Good varied menu all freshly prepared. Good friendly service with good food and drink in a cosy place, what more could you ask for!
