On a summer's day/evening the small pub garden is a nice retreat with a grand view across the river. Steaks are very good and you get a man sized plate - full. Also serves a good pint of Rev James.

We have just returned home after a most enjoyable stay in The Bear, in Crickhowell. The staff, food and rooms were all excellent. The Sunday roast was very good.

You can book a table in the bar if you want to take your dog, as we did staying at local camp site. Lovely friendly welcome. Good beer and the food was fine. Locals all friendly too.

Stopped here for lunch on first day of holiday. Rather old-fashioned set up and menu, but decent enough food. Nothing special. Tables were sticky.
