Amazing spot for Sunday lunch after a walk. Rung ahead to reserve a table. Staff were friendly, welcoming and generous on the veg! Great value food which was really tasty and wholesome.

Watched nations rugby on TV a number of times at this pub. Friendly with a nice atmosphere in a very pretty village

A lovely country pub that welcomes all including dogs! Stopped in for dinner in the evening. A very friendly welcome from the owners and the locals. Beer was recommended and tasty. Highlight by far was the food. Lasagne was fresh, homemade and large portion. Sirloin was Amazing for the price especially with a pepper sauce on the side. Dessert looked... More

food is excellent and cooked how YOU want it, its good to see also that it welcomes dogs.....a lot of people don't like dogs , sad people but this place adores them . the proprietor and wife and bar staff were all superb and nothing too much trouble

lovely real pub with wood burner and sofas. Only had a drink after walk to summit of the Sugar Loaf but lots of punters enjoying lunch on Boxing day.

From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Its a real old country pub with lots of interesting photos etc on the walls. The real ale was excellent and my cabernet sauvignon was great. Not sure I like to see the bar staff and waiting staff petting and fussing a dog. Then serving food. It also sounded like a dog was in or very near the kitchen. I know some people don't have a problem with dogs in restaurants and pubs, but I do.

Great food, friendly and helpful service, good wine list and reasonably priced. We particularly loved the idea of gin menu!

called in here on way through area havent been here for years so just wanted to see what it was like now still lovely pub in great setting dint have food but will return to try the food

What a lovely pub in every way. Great ambiance, a lovely landlord and landlady and one of the best Sunday lunches we have ever had.
