In fairness, there was one waitress, and at least 20 German tourists who piled into the place. The lamb lasagna I received was good and filling but I'd tasted better in other restaurants. The wine was good. My advice: If you see this establishment crowded and people waiting for tables, try another evening, but their food is acceptable.

I'm not sure what it is called on the menu, but you can order a big platter of meat (beef, chicken, lamb, blood sausage, chorizo), which is enough for about 4 people. It's really good! The blood sausage isn't really my thing, but I sampled it. Nice taste, but the texture grossed me out. Others loved it! This is a... More

The special pizza was maybe the best pizza we ever had. Also the steak and the fruit salad with icecream on the second visit were very good. Both time we ordered a local beer (dark and blond). Both were good. The atmosphere and the service are warn and pleasent. Some of the pics are after we already started eating 😁

We were at the tail end of the season so not every restaurant was open and open for lunch. Cool little place. When opening the menu, I noticed they had a lot of dishes. Sometimes I wonder if restaurants try to do too many dishes and can't do any one of them great. I had steak and the portion was... More

Not much was open during our stay in El Chalten but El Muro had good reviews and was two minutes from our hotel so we gave it a try and im glad we did. The empanadas to start were delicious and light and properly homemade. We both had a steak for the main and it was lovely. The waitress was... More

We had a wonderful lunch of Cordero (lamb) a la parrilla at el Muro. The young owners were friendly and hard workers, providing a delicious complete meal. The serving portions were huge and very tasty. Would highly recommend a visit.

The traditional Argentinian stew (locra) was delicious. We ate there two nights of the four we stayed in El Chalten. For us it was very convenient and close to the Destino Sur.

We stayed in El Chalten for 3 days in early March and tried out 3 restaurants. We liked El Muro the most and went back again for our last meal in town. It's end of the season and most places were empty except for El Muro. The place is small so booking during high season is recommended. We had steaks... More
