We asked where the best coffee in town was, and were told here. It was very good, and we couldn't resist the pastries! Service was friendly, and the wifi the best we encountered in our 4 days in El Chaltén. (wifi is not very good in the town generally -- it is pretty remote.)

We enjoyed a lunch and a breakfast in the cafe. The one waitress (Melissa, who also waits at La Tapera) is excellent, the other not so much. The food was delicious and reasonably priced . They have wifi. There is only one table outside and maybe 6 inside so it is small. Would definitely return, but not if I was... More

Sure you do not come to el chalten for the wifi, but if you just need to search for something online for the rest of your trip this was the only place with good wifi we found. And otherwise they also have the best coffee in town and we also had a spinach lasagna that was delicious, the staff is... More

We went everyday we were in El Chalten as it was great from the very first encounter. The staff were really friendly and the toasted sandwiches were exceptional. It was a lovely place to just sit and 'chill-out', too. Good selection on the menu. Highly recommend.

We stopped at Mathilda one day after a hike, at tea time - around 4:30, had a pot of tea and an extremely delicious brownie cake. Then we ordered an amazing meal, eating chicken curry crepes, made with apples and cream and a spinach crepe that was like a large slice of lasagna. We hung out until around 8:00, not... More

Coffee shop with good eating options, especially sweat tarts, empanadas and sandwiches. Good option when raining or cold weather.

Went there twice in 2 days Great soup, good coffee Had excellent ravioli with bolognese. Tacos are fresh and tasty Crepe with chicken curry was fragrant. Food was lighter and fresher than usual for Argentina - welcome change.

Comfy cafe with a few tables inside and some more outside. Colorful furniture and decoration. Serves cakes and sweets but also very good salads and snacks. We can't forget the lemon pie, it was absolutely delicious!!

Had a pleasant meal here. The beet root soup was lovely on a cold day. Wifi works well. Waitress was a little busy since she was the only one serving. Just need to be patient to get her attention. Price is reasonable for El Chalten. Everything in Patagonia is expensive anyways.
