The restaurant is past the harbor, and is not a place you would happen upon if you were not going specifically to the restaurant. The view is great. It is on the water, and waves crash on the lava rocks. Food and price was fine, but you are mainly going here for the setting. We went at sun set, and... More

The location here is great. Super for watching sunsets, waves crashing on the lava and the Dreamliner from Lan Chile on the way to Tahiti landing right above the restaurant at around 10 pm. But the service is slow. It took ages from them go get our order. It took 4 requests to get the check. Each time they nod... More

This restaurant's terrace overlooks the Pacific ocean and the fishing port of Hanga Roa making it a perfect place for watching sunsets. There are hammocks to laze in next to the restaurant. The service was good and the seafood selections excellent. Lots of choice. Pricing is normal for the island so on the expensive side but worth it.

A great location ruined by a poor service - and the guests being more interested in taking selfies than enjoying the Pacific view. Got worse when a member of staff starting throwing rocks at what were very friendly dogs/puppies. Give it a miss.

This restaurant sits on a point of land overlooking the small port and the open ocean to the west. We arrived about 6:40 and had to wait until the kitchen opened at 7. Service was quite slow, but the food, when it came, was delicious. We both had fish dishes. As the sun sets it can get quite hot so... More

Had a truly inspired meal here, savouring the traditional seafood delights of Rapa Nui. For entree I enjoyed slipper lobster, literally miniature lobsters that were sweet and delicate in flavour. This was followed by a simply cooked local fish dish, utterly delectable and served on a bed of mashed potato. All this was washed down with a glass of excellent... More

We hadn't been doing too well food wise when we stumbled across this gem! It's ceviche is said to be the star dish and it certainly looked amazing but we had a tuna sashimi and baby slipper lobsters to die for and a fresh local fish. The view over the volcanic beach was beautiful and the sunset spectacular! ( yes,... More

I didn't love this place at all. It is very pretty to be sure. Service was not bad. The beer was cold. I ordered prawns in garlic butter and they were really overcooked. Husband had lobster, pretty much flavorless so we were at least able to put the shrimp butter/garlic to good use.

Tataku Vave is situated right on the shoreline with a great view of the coast. It was highly recommended by the manager at our hotel (Puku Vai) and we were not disappointed. As in most Rapa Nui restaurants the emphasis is on fish. My generous portion of seared tuna with a sesame seed crust was outstanding. I had no reason... More

Lovely atmosphere but rather pricey. Good seafood and beautiful view to the beach. Wheelchair accessible.
