This is a restaurant located in Polamar, they sell local dishes, and they have some wonderful desserts, the sevice is good and the prices for tourists when applying the parallel market exchange rate is amazing, I usually go there for paella, its great, your bill for about two persons should not exceed $20 usd, that does not include cocktails, the... I love food and don't hesitate to spend good money in good restaurants. But the restaurant Punto Criollo is this simple restaurant with no higher ambitions of status. It's this kind of restaurant where star chefs extract the base for their recipes, the aromas, the textures, the essence of the dishes that they afterwards stylise and optimise presenting it as... Amonst us locals, it is rated as one of the best restaurants in Porlamar.. As a consequence it does get very busy at lunchtimes.. No need to book ..Just try to turn up early Most of the staff have worked there for years ,which is also a good sign All dishes are well cooked and portions are large.. I always... More

This restaurant offers you Venezuelan food, very affordable and good choices for food. It can be busy at midday, you have to be patient. The place is in downtown, near Plaza Bolivar. I recommend the Pabellon Criollo and Pastel de Chucho, plenty choices for fresh fruit juices.

It was terrible! I ask for a pasta bolognese and the beef was PUTRID. It was a fly inside. I informed the situation to the owner and I was insulted! Please think about this before eating there!

The grilled and seared sirloin steak I had I can almost taste now as I write!! to die for!! Expensive but you get what you pay for. The full bodied red was so nice I had two bottles.

Moderately priced food and good service, something you do not get in many places in Venezuela and should be highly appreciated... this restaurant is run by the same management as "El Remo" and "Lugar de Encuentro" on 4 de mayo in Porlamar, which can all be recommended. If you don't like the busy and loud atmosphere, you shouldn't go to... More

If you are after one of the best Fish soups in the island, go there. Trully good. I only rate it a 3 since the drink was not the best I had. Service is good, a little busy at times but they are excellent and efficient.

I have visited this place since I was 4 years old when we went to Venezuela annually and we would always go about 6 times every December. The place is air conditioned to high hell, it is ALWAYS packed. For a reason. The waiters are always great with people despite being busy, bread is always on the table straight away... More

After reading all the great reviews we thought we would try it out. The staff is really tremendous and completely unlike every where else on the island; they actually hustle and very quickly. The buzz in the restaurant is fantastic. The food looked great as we stood at the back waiting for a table. You would think it would make... More
