A great place for dinner. There were 7 of us and we sample a variety of items on the menu. Everyone was satisfied with their delicious food. Staff were friendly and attentive. The rustic atmosphere added to the overall dining experience.

We stopped here to eat on our motorcycle trip through Arkansas. The atmosphere is really down home and while there are tables inside, we chose to eat outside. It wasn't too bad, however it was a low temp summer kind of day. You have to...More

Venue quaint. Waitress excellent. Steak, fatty. Shrimp, strong odor of chemical wash. My wife and I expected more based on expectations that we had found a diamond in the rough with a stellar chef.

In the midst of the rugged Ozark Mountains, Low Gap Cafe is an absolute jewel of a dining experience...a real "diamond in the rough". And owner/chef Nick Betonni's story is just as interesting as the incredible menu he and his son (Andrew-19) turnout at this...More

The food and service here are great. The owner greats you at the door. The atmosphere of the old building is very charming. Make sure you save room for the desert!

Who would believe that there is a world class chef with a restaurant in an old general store 10 miles from Jasper Arkansas? I believe it because I've eaten there, but if I hadn't, I'd think you were making it up. I had the Monte...More

Friends from home mentioned this restaurant, and from the looks of it we weren't expecting much. Everything about our meal was outstanding, from the attentive service to delicious food. My husband tried a "quad" of fried catfish, shrimp, frog legs and oysters. He said it...More

When you go there don't stretch out ordering prime rib or shrimp. Stick with burgers and fries and such, and treasure the genuine funkiness and out-in-the-county ambiance plus in the right weather the giant deck. Enjoy!!

Absolutely wonderful food! They had a variety of offerings, including pasta, fish, and beef dishes. Vegetarian options are available, but definitely not vegan. I tried the catfish bites and the triple fish platter which includes fried catfish, shrimp, and frog's legs. The catfish bites and...More

Highly disappointed to drive 3 hours to eat at a highly recommended place and was turned away at the door. We were told there was an hour wait and the place was closed even though there were empty tables and still 1.5 hours till stated...More

I believe they keep the same hours, year 'round. I would check their website and call, if I were worried about it.

Description
Reviewed in Arkansas Living magazine by Doug White in the July 2012 issue. Nick Botini ran a restaurant in Harrison that had excellent reviews. He's an accomplished chef and has developed his own unique combination of spices for some wonderfully tasteful dishes.
