We are from Arkansas originally, but we had never visited Petit Jean State Park. I had heard about the Lodge so we made it a point to have breakfast there. The entire restaurant staff was friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and the view...More

We stayed in a cabin rather than the lodge but ate two meals at Mather Lodge. The first night we wanted to stay in the cabin as we had been driving all day. We ordered a pizza and brought it back to the room. It...More

Mather Lodge has tremendous potential to become an excellent restaurant but only with some intense management intervention. We dined here for two dinners and one breakfast over a period of 3 days. This restaurant has a tremendous opportunity for improvement, from menu selections, to food...More

The lodge was a great place to hang out. There is a large area with two main fireplaces. Our group stayed inside and played games while it was raining.

We were camping in the area, but came here for dinner one night. The buffet looked tasty, but I was in the mood for fried catfish! I had the Fried Catfish Platter and washed it down with the "Love Honey", a beer from a local...More

22 of us stayed at the Petit Jean Lodge. The meals at the Mather Restaurant were fantastic. AND....what a view while dining. A gem in the Arkansas Forest Park. Don't miss out visiting this unique venue.

The rooms are clean, well stocked and porches with rocking chairs, benches and views are well worth the drive. The lodge restaurant has good variety on the menu, well prepared dishes and reasonable prices. The view is fabulous and sunsets breathtaking. Great value for money.

While camping in the state park we biked over to Mather Lodge for a noon meal. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. This lodge built by the CCC in the 1930's on a plan designed by the National Park Service has been remodeled...More

Enjoy a delicious meal in the rustic warmth of Mather Lodge's main dining room. Large windows frame the view of rugged Cedar Creek Canyon, scenery highlighted each evening by a dramatic sunset. A meeting room (50-person capacity) that can also accommodate small banquets is nearby. This recently renovated portion of Mather Lodge mirrors the 1930s Adirondack-style architecture of the original portions of this historic treasure that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and expanded by the Works Progress Administration. The main dining room seats up to 104 persons. The restaurant is open daily.
