All reviews snapper burger croquettes battered fish tacos orient point great seafood great little restaurant welcoming service front of house delicious food relaxed atmosphere great decor south coast blackfish scott takeaway
We were down the South Coast for the weekend and read great reviews so tried this place and it was very good. Had fish and chips which is basic but it was very good. Beautifully battered fish and very good chips. Friendly service and great...prices.More
We have been regular diners here for years (see our earlier rave reviews) and, like others, supported the Snapper through COVID whilst hoping that it would return to its former self at some point - with genuine sadness we have given up. The menu has...reduced to limited burgers and poor fish and chips - you might get lucky and strike the once regular local blackfish but this has been a rarity over the last months. The old experienced staff has gone and, whilst friendly enough, the service is now haphazard. Go up the road to Food and More and grab some takeaway insteadMore
We've enjoyed eating here since the move from Orient Point and have tried to support them through COVID and the change from a restaurant to a burger joint but we just can't do it anymore. The writing was on the wall when they stopped serving...most food on plates and changed to baskets prior to the COVID shutdown but the change to a burger menu and now a further reduction in offerings is not confidence inspiring.
As for food, the cheese burger is generally over sauced, messy and not very enjoyable in a small plastic basket. The change from a fried chicken burger to a schnitty burger is also a retrograde step. The chips are regularly over seasoned and on occasion have been inedible. The fish and chips used to be good fresh, crisp batter but the most recent order was anything but. The pieces of fish were all a uniform size and shape with the impression it was no longer fresh fish but pre-processed and the batter was flat, uninspiring and not enjoyable. The staff are friendly but all young, inexperienced and desperately in need of someone to be in charge of the front of house. Needing to line up and order every time you want an extra drink or food is frustrating and not at all efficient.
Toby and Scotty are trying to sell the business and have obviously lost interest in it which is a damn shame as we used to really enjoy good quality food In Culburra. We will now go to the Butter Factory for restaurant quality food and Greenwell Point for fish and chips - burgers we'll do at home.More
Enjoyed lunch at The Little Snapper restaurant. Although the address is Culburra Beach, it is not located on the beach, but the fresh tasty food, young, efficient and friendly staff, and cocktails, more than compensate for the lack of beach view. An important addition to...the limited choices of eateries in the area.More
Went there for cocktails and dinner and had a great time. The cocktails were incredible and the food was awesome. The kids meals came out quickly which kept them happy, along with the activity packs. The staff were extremely friendly and very warming. We found...the prices very cheap for both the cocktails and the food. We can’t wait to go back.More
