So happy to find this place right in "downtown" Berkeley. The salads, soup, sandwiches, and pizzas are great. The bread is excellent as are the morning pastries. A welcoming staff, clean and comfortable dining area are most welcome here, right by the university.

My wife and I had breakfast pastries and coffee based on high recommendations online. She had cocoa and a apricot Danish. The Danish was very good for a highly rated pastry bakery. The cocoa was so-so. l had the chocolate croissant and a mocha. The mocha was good; the croissant was disappointing for my taste. I like croissants that are... More

No a cheap place, but with good quality pizza and great coffee. I took a quick stop here, looking for Italian food on Labor day, this one was the only one open...And pizza was really Italian one.

We stopped in for a quick coffee/bite after a show at one of the theatre. The staff and friendly and when we were there just GORGEOUS. We got the fresh orange juice which was delicious and a couple of snacks. I felt it was a little pricey but well worth it.

PIQ Berkeley is one of the greatest options to have a good quality meal without taking too much time. I wish to emphasize the true quality of the products offered. The focaccias, bocatas and others are definetely something to appreciate by any gourmet. Italian food at its best. They offer a good variety of beverages including real fresh orange juice!... More

Great cappuccinos and cornettos! The food in this place takes me back to cafes in Italy. Fantastic desserts and tasty sandwiches. Not to mention, their baristas know how to make a cappuccino. The ambiance is relaxed, whether you are here to study or to socialize with friends. Parking is difficult since it is in the midst of downtown Berkeley. I... More

How hard is it to do a good latte? Apparently diabolically hard but the barista at Piq served up a winner. Combined with a cannolo - perfetto!

The caprese focaccia and torta nocciolata were both excellent. Fresh and tasty. The outside seating was cool and the free wifi was appreciated. I would recommend this cafe.
