They serve their food on plastic trays that are filthy. I couldn't eat because of the nasty conditions.

I was so impressed with this place. Was heading to a concert at UC Theatre and needed to grab something fast. All restaurants were full and then I saw Phil's. Four great options - beef, chicken, mushroom and veggie burgers. Choice of side salad and / or sweet potato fries. And then a great beer selection and even a red... More

This location is very close to Downtown BART which is why I stopped here for a glass of wine to wait for the people I was visiting to meet me. Unfortunately we did not have time to eat. I enjoyed sitting at the sidewalk table drinking my glass of wine. Great way to say Hello Berkeley for this first time... More

Supposedly this place is famous? Their "hand made Tater Tots" are good but they taste just like McDonalds hash browns. Beef Sliders very good, Chicken Sliders not so much. Poppyseed coleslaw was boring, it had no "tang" at all. Made from scratch Ginger Ale was overly sweet and not bubbly. Most of all, too expensive: $20 for 3 sliders, 1... More

This looked like a very popular place. The first time I popped in they said the wait for my order would be over 20 minutes. By that time, the tables had filled up so I went to Half Price Books nearby to get a book and came back and ordered. This time, orders were moving a little faster. The sliders... More

Our grandsons wanted to go to this restaurant. The only dishes they had were sliders, but all kinds. The portions were fairly large: 2 sliders equaling one sandwich. They were tasty. The restaurant was clean. A good place for a fast bite.

The owner is so knowable and friendly and is proud of his locally sourced ingredients - Makes me want to go back constantly! Added to that, the sliders are always awesome and the desserts....YUM!

Can't really review the food because we never got past the terrible service. After waiting in line and seeing that for some reason the chicken sliders were off the menu (this was at 6:15 pm) we were left standing at the counter and were basically ignored for several minutes. No one even bothered to say "be with you in a... More

We were visiting Berkeley for the first time as my wife is a bit of a University nut and we were walking Shattuck Ave as was recommended. As we walked, my daughter pointed out Phil's Sliders. Not a big place, but still easily identifiable considering it's surroundings. The biggest surprise was that despite being a slider outfit, they offer several... More

Phil's Sliders has a great vibe. We stumbled in -- business diners among a lot of college kids. Staff was very courteous. The sliders here are closer to mini-burgers. Loved the sliders. The place serves a tater-tot thing that seems homemade and is cut like a Lego brick -- sounds crazy but it is quite good. We were served promptly.... More
