Been going there countless times, mostly for the Chicken Burrito which is one of the best to have. They also have good Mole. Its a nice cozy place, great for lunch and dinner.

Was visiting our daughter and this is her place for tacos. Went to dinner (we were a party of 4). You order at the counter, pay and find a seat, then they bring the food out to you. They have a salsa bar which you need to ask them for little plastic containers to help yourself, and you also get... More

We checked out Talavera largely because the colorful mural on the outside wall tempted us to look at the menu, and it seemed worth giving a try. The food is quite good. My wife had a plate of "street tacos" al pastor that were very tasty and well prepared. Not unlike what you would get from a street vendor in... More

Beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy some quality Mexican food. The burrito I had was barbacoa and it was cooked just right, flavors spot on. And so fat I shouldn't have eaten the whole thing! Torta de choriza was equally large and delicious. The tacos de chorizo were spicy like I like it, and I love the fact that... More

The food here is delicious! I love the chicken tortilla soup and the pick de gallo! My husband loves the chicken mole burritos.

By far, the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've patronized. Everything is delicious and there is a consistency in high quality, tasty food that is like a Mama's.

I travel to Mexico a lot and one of my favorite things to eat is mole poblano, especially when I am in Oaxaca or Puebla. I have never found a mole in the USA that even comes close to mole in these towns. Until now. Talavera has some of the best mole poblano I've ever had. Very authentic, rich, complex... More

Fresh, tasty authentic Mexican cuisine. Burritos are huge--big enough for two normal appetites. Breakfasts good too. Nothing fancy, just good simple eats!

After having a great lunch we were back twice again because of the quality (and quantity) of food. Would recommend the Burrito De Carnitas (pork) ($6.95) with a side of guacamole ($1.50) and be amazed at the size and quality of the ingredients.

We were passing and looking out for somewhere to eat lunch and thought we would give this a try. We were delighted. The carnitas with pulled pork was the best ever, and the vegetarian meal was very good too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The people sitting next to us come there all the way from San Mateo, and... More
