My sister and I brought our aunt who was visiting from overseas here for morning tea, not knowing what to expect except the location on the upper reaches of the Canning River. It was a surprise to find this lovely quiet location, right next door to the Eco Centre, with good cafe style gluten free food and coffees. Breakfast and... More

Enjoy a simple but very tasty lunch or late breakfast in pleasant, quiet and scenic surroundings at an affordable price. Also good for coffee and cake.

A couple of friends and I decided to give this place a try after finding it online. We had no idea the Kent Street Weir even existed, so we enjoyed a brisk walk along the trails before finishing up at the cafe for morning tea. I was pleasantly surprised at the menu...so many dairy free options!...I didn't now where to... More

HOWEVER, they vary in size, with a massive one at the front of the display but the waitress always reaches around this one until it's the only one left. Either make the size uniform or don't upset people by giving the smallest... More

Wow what a pleasant surprise, the staff are proud of the Cafe and this shines through from the service to the food. Water brought to the table whilst overlooking the beautiful park surroundings. The coffee was well prepared with thick creme, and food a beef breakfast and scrambled eggs both tasty and at a reasonable price. For relaxing, good food... More

Decided after having coffee here many times it was time to go for breakfast. It was busy, and many tables were reserved. We ordered and our food arrived quickly with a smile and was scrumptious. Thoroughly enjoyed our coffee and meals. Top notch. Thank you Canning River Café!

Canning River Cafe is a wonderful companion to the Kent Street Weir. You can sit inside or outside, plenty of seating. Our pet dog was allowed to sit with us at our table and was provided with his own bowl of water. Service was great, coffee was good and cakes are fresh and tasty. A good thing would be a... More
