Maxs has very good food and great portions. The service is not very good and the prices are a bit high. The corned beef and pastrami are great and the desserts are even better!!

This was a little gem we found. We had great friendly service. You get plenty of food too. The matzo ball soup was fresh. We also tried the California chicken melt and pastrami sandwich - both were very good. We would definitely go back.

Huge menu to satisfy any appetite and out of control huge desserts that you have to share. Cesar salad and matzo ball soup are my favorites!

Really good food with big portions. Menu has various options with many choices, and lots of comfort foods, and lots of great desserts. Max's is a SF favorite and you will not be disappointed and you will not break the budget dining here.

Great food and more than a mouthful. Don't look at the dessert case when you walk in because you will be tempted to eat that first, leaving you unable to eat the rest of the wonderful foods they serve! Great sandwiches and other deli delights....More

Breakfast is served, and a wide verity of choices are available. Prices are medium range, and some speciality items reach into the $20.00 dollar range. I honestly believe there are better venues, less expensive, less... More
