We can honestly say that The Royal Oak is now a fantastic place to come for a beer ...a meal for 2 ...a family meal or to listen to a band on a Friday night. The best thing about this pub is the staff. They are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and they've got a great sense of humour.... More

Spent a thoroughly enjoyable Mothers Day lunch here with my mum. Great food, good beer and great service. Good menu with a big list of specials and a lunch time menu all at reasonable prices and good portions. I'll definitely be coming back!

We just called in here for lunch, whilst staying in the area. we were welcomed by June, who was an absolute gem. She guided us to a table, took our drinks order, I had a glass of white wine, and my husband had a guest beer (blonde vixen), which he highly recommends. We shared a garlic bread mix as a... More

Luckily enough to have this as a local, lovely friendly pub and the staff are always welcoming and happy. Love catching up with June the Barmaid she is one of the loveliest people I've ever met and she goes out of her way to accommodate everyone. The food is gorgeous and really reasonably priced especially on a Sunday. I had... More

I visited this pub twice over the course of a weekend (Saturday night and Sunday afternoon). As a pub it seems to cater for various customers; diners can enjoy a pleasant atmosphere in the comfort of the eating area whereas sport can be viewed to the other side. The décor is modern and comfortable in all areas of the pub.... More

Really enjoyed our visit. Food of a high standard and friendly service with a smile. As per one of the previous reviews great sticky toffee pudding. Will most certainly visit again. Highly recommended.
