This spot came highly recommended by friends who learned we were spending the day in Monterey. First, to be fair the food was very good. The basque omelet was great. My wife's French toast was as well. My daughter was with us. The place was crowded and noisy but about right for an informal diner. I would rate it a... More

A breakfast menu that is probably the longest we have seen anywhere. Friendly and very fast service, too. Food was good - not spectacular, but perfectly fine. The Eggs Benedict hollandaise, though, was absolutely stunning - highly recommended. Despite comments in other reviews, we thought it a large cafe with plenty of seating and tables. We would happily return.

A must do as it is a Carmel tradition. Very crowded and a great place for breakfast. don't take credit cards.

Cozy little breakfast spot in downtown Carmel. It's not cheap, but well worth it. Food was good, I had the corned beef hash, coffee great, and service was excellent.

Had a delightful breakfast at Katy's with our two children. Food was fresh and tasted so good I wished I had more room to eat it all. Service was fantastic.

My wife loved her French toast and my Irish Benedict was amazing. The corned beef hash was delicious. Good service. Has a diner feel to it.

You know that any place that serves 21 different kinds of eggs benedict is serious about breakfast. Great service. A very friendly local place.

This place is heaving on a Saturday but it's very good. Our server was super nice. The food was generous and hearty all american breakfast faire. Lots of hot coffee and all the good stuff the make for a great breakfast experience on a cold foggy morning.

A good place to eat breakfast - but can land you with an expensive start to the day. Attentive staff, fast service and good food. Eggs are claimed to be farm fresh but they were not that special - what is it with US eggs that gives that effect?

Best crab eggs benedict ever! My husband liked his omelette. I would definitely come here again as I am a big eggs benedict fan. These were steaming hot, very filling. We got there early before it filled up. Place was full when we left.
