We found this restaurant, tucked away in a corner of the large Plaza 183 mall, while shopping for musical instruments nearby; we only saw the glowing reviews after. The wait was forty minutes on this Monday when we visited. The interior looked bright and spacious....Wait staff had masks on. All the booths were taken so it’s more traffic and less privacy where we’re seated. Probably because it’s a holiday, only dinner menu @$27 was offered at lunch time. After ordering the broth and the sampler of meats, we, wearing provided gloves, helped ourselves to cut vegetables, seafood (fish balls, squid and swai fish), tofu, varieties of noodles and other typical accompaniments at a center island area. On an adjacent counter we found dipping sauces (wish they were labeled). Both serving areas were kinda messy with dropped vegetables and dripped sauces. The thin slices of meat were tender and good quality; we liked the ribeye the most. It’s great that we could control the cooking temperature right at our finger tip. We appreciated that they served grated daikon and garlic, and kimchi. The meat and vegetable were filling; we didn’t even ask for second meat serving. Joseph, our server, was friendly and helpful.More

Broth Shabu-Shabu, is located in Plaza 183, and was the first time we had tried this kind of eating experience. The staff were very safety orientated, polite, and took time to explain the way to enjoy this Japanese hotpot way of self-cooking our own meal...at our table. Basically, they presented us with a selection of different broths to choose from, then it is placed on a hot ring on the table. Next completely masked we joined the buffet line and put on a pair of disposable gloves, and selected from the different vegetables, seafood, oden, and noodles items to add to our broth. There is also a section where we could take a variety of dipping sauces, to add more flavor to our boiling broth. The thinly sliced raw meat is delivered separately to the table, by the waiter for as long as you are hungry. TIP: Take your time and try everything slowly, as there are so many different combinations. If you found this review informative, please check the box below. Thank you.More

For $25 per head, you can have all you can eat, of a variety of premium quality beef. The veggie bar seemed endless and the variety of seafood was no joke. All these for the one price per head. You get to have endless broth...on a split shabu-shabu pot and enjoy to your hearts desire. Oh, some appetizers are also included. No guilty feeling on eating a lot of shabu-shabu. I think lunch is a little cheaper in price. Plan ahead because this new place is always full. We decided to sit and eat at the bar because the aroma of the place made me hungrier each minute we waited.More

My son and I tried this place on our recent visit to California. We both love Japanese food and had actually never heard of Shabu! Really cool concept. The veggies were awesome and there were some kinds of mushrooms that I had never heard of...but were delicious. The meat is very, very thin and cooks quickly in the boiling broth. All the meat was great. We all of the kinds they offered since it is AYCE. We also tried the two most popular broths. I didn't care for the spicier kind. The MISO was delicious. All in all, great, fresh and tasty food. Great service. And when I'm back there in July will try again.More

Came here for lunch on St Patty's weekend and we left completely stuffed. This place offers all types of broths, meats, appetizers and veggies. My friends and I had the spicy miso, kombu, tonkutsu and sukiyaki. The Suki and spicy miso were our favorite because...they were rich in flavor and added some heat. The lamb, rib eye, pork belly and beef Toro are a must try. The meats are thinly sliced and take very little time to cook. Meats are tender and soak up all the delicious broth. As for the apps the cheese tonkatsu it's delicious and so is the shishito peppers. We loved our experience. Customer service was amazing. Even with a busy crowd we we're well taken care of. The veggies we're constantly getting refilled. Fresh meats come out quickly and the place is spotless. Everything from the sauce bar, veggie station to the bathroom is spotless. Highly recommend this spot for hot pot. Bring all your friends and family for a great dining experience!More

First I would like to say, I added this restaurant. I came here with a friend of mine and finding this place online. I love hot pot and this place was great. We ordered the spicy miso and the pork bone broth, sorry I forgot...the name of this one, but it was really good. I am not really into different things and when my friend said he wanted that, I was not so excited, but I tried the broth and it's really good. You can only pick two broths. The veggies and seafood are available for you to serve yourself. There is also a condiment section to make your own dipping sauce, which is great. The price is like $25 or $26 per person and it's all you can eat. My friend ate 18 plates of beef plus seafood and veggies, I was soooo full, but it was sooo good :). The employees are really great. The two female hosts were very nice and friendly, also our waiter Pablo was really cool and made sure we had enough food. I highly suggest this place if your in the mood for hot pot.More
