We travelled from San Diego to San Francisco and pleasantly came across the Harris Ranch Restaurant. Interesting concept -- in theory. We sat down for dinner in the restaurant and eventually a server came by. Seemed to be preoccupied with something else other than us. We ordered drinks. Eventually my wife got hers and I continued to wait. Finally a... More

Last night I ordered the prime beef burger rare with sautéed onions and Brie ($19) with sides of roasted mushrooms and garlic fries ($7 each) at their "upscale" Steakhouse and expected something quite good. It came on a large bun with burger looking like it was overflowing - a good start. It quickly went downhill from there after I took... More

We lucked into the Bar for a late dinner. Their house wine was very good and the steaks to die for. We also got treated to some wonderful guitar music. Just couldn't be better. Food is known all over!

We actually ate here twice in one week, once on the way to Reno and then our return. I would describe the place as country charm. It has a slightly old feeling to it. We ordered the prime burger to share and there was plenty for the two of us. The first time our waitress was amazing, friendly, helpful and... More

I've dined in both the adult only dining room, for lunch this past February, and the breakfast dining room this May. Both rooms are comfortable & well decorated. The food was delicious both visits! The service during our breakfast stood out in my mind. All the servers were very friendly. A nice touch was when I was asked if I'd... More

We did not eat here this time, as we had just had breakfast at Anderson's Pea Soup about ninety minutes ago. However, whether you eat here, or not, this is such an inviting, clean and charming place to make a stop and stretch your legs. It is very comfortably air conditioned, and has plenty of room to walk around. And,... More

Lots of friends kept raving about this place on I-5 in middle California. So on our return trip from Disneyland, I thought lets try it. First off, it does deserve a half star more, but you cant give 3.5 stars. Easy to get to. Right of the freeway and very visible. Parking was a piece of cake, right up front.... More

We stopped here on road trip after checking rating and reviews expecting a fine dining experience. Drinks were good, bread was excellent but prime rib and sides were average at best. Unsure what reviewers were used to but had much better everything from restaurants in L. A. and S.F.

We often travel this freeway and over the years have always stopped at Harris Ranch. After hours of driving, this is a comfortable, extremely clean, and diverse stop no matter what you have in mind. Harris Ranch offers a fabulous hotel on a long boring highway, a first class restaurant with multi-levels of dining, a great bar, or even just... More

My husband & I stopped for dinner after traveling all day. The food is good. My husband had the pot roast for about $24 and I had the french dip sandwich for 19.95. We enjoyed their Merlot & Zinfandel. While it was good. It was no better than we get at restaurants at home for less. It is a very... More
