We had the prix fixe early dinner (coq a vin, onion soup, ginger bread) for $31 plus wine. A terrific bargain for good food and service in a very pleasant old house. So good we went back for dinner on Saturday ( beef bourgeon, duck breast, caesar salad, creme brûlée ) . The beef was salty and made with short... More

Arrived at around 5.45pm mid week. The hostess said they were fully booked but that the bar was available - just sit anywhere, as it's first come first served. That suited us as the dining rooms are small and the bar looked a more fun place to sit. "Do you have a reservation" asked the barman (note that if you... More

Chez Loma is located in a house directly off the main thoroughfare in Coronado. Its small and cozy with a a well rounded menu and a really good wine list. We enjoyed the pate, french onion soup, butternut squash soup, chilean sea bass and scottish salmon. Everything was excellent and our server was attentive without being overbearing. Its a great... Went for dinner here with friends. It was very pleasant. We sat on the porch where we could actually hear each other talk. The food was delicious. A real treat!

Our meal started off a bit oddly with a somewhat unprofessional hostess but quickly redeemed it self when we tasted our food. The waitress was attentive and everything we had was good. The escargot was excellent and the French Onion soup was delicious. My husband very much enjoyed the venison and I thought the Coq au vin was one of... More

We were looking forward to a relaxing upmarket dining experience on our arrival in Coronado and accordingly reserved a table at this restaurant. We arrived in plenty of time and made our own way to the table. we were promptly asked by the server if we had reserved it. We felt that this comment was not necessary. We waited for... More

In a converted house on lovely Coronado, there exists a classy French restaurant, where the intimate atmosphere and upscale dining make for a truly memorable and delicious experience. Not only is Chez Loma in easy walking distance of more or less everywhere (It's right off Orange Avenue, the main thoroughfare), the staff are helpful and friendly, the food is meltingly... More

My wife and I met some friends visiting from Georgia - of us staying at the Del Coronado - a pleasant five minute stroll away. Our table was in the front Bistro section by the bar, tucked into the corner surrounded by glass - busy, noisy, a little cramped, but what fun! It reminded all of us, especially my friend... More

Nice intimate setting in a converted house. Everything we had was excellent. The escargot with sweetbread was maybe the best I have ever had. Our server was Sabrina and I would honestly say she was one of the best servers I have ever had at a restaurant anywhere in the world! Hope to be back sometime in the future.
