Goat Hill is a great dive bar where all of the locals go. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced. The music is loud and the people are friendly. If you're hungry you better like peanuts because that's all there is to eat

We stopped in here yesterday hoping you get lunch but were disappointed when we learned they didn't have food. If you're just looking for beers though this is the place to be!

Goat Hill was opened by Robert R. "Zeb" Ziemer after he closed Zeb's World Famous Boathouse in Santa Ana. Only the mind of this Navy veteran could come with the unbelievable assortment of signs, and hard to find collectibles that adorn the walls and ceiling....More

Great dive bar, STRONG drinks, many beers on tap, colorful locals and loud music. Always a good last stop.

They Tavern has a great beer selection. I have never seen so many beers on tap. Overwhelmed with the options, I stuck with a simple heineken lager, going with what I know. The beer tasted fine, but their was something off with the pints they...More

I love this bar because it's so close to the action in Newport. Walking distance to other bars and they have a lot of beers on tap. They have games, a patio, and a linking room. This place is pretty big and can be chaotic...More

Mixed feelings about this bar - not at all my type of place, but it's a destination of sorts and it's worth a visit for the experience. We went on a Tuesday night and it was not crowded, but it was still very loud. The...More

I visited this bar about 20 years ago with some friends for a bachelor party. Since I don't get down to the Coast Mesa area very often, I have never been back. Recently, while on a business trip to Orange County, I decided to go...More

Hard to get a drink. Too crowded. Kind of dumpy. Place used to be fun back in the day. Drinks aren't as stiff as the used to be.

Description
Located in sunny Costa Mesa, California - on Newport & Harbor Blvd. "The Goat" was originally known as Zeb's World Famous Boathouse then later named Henry & Harry's Goat Hill Tavern - and it's now become an Orange County staple. Goat Hill Tavern is World Famous for its more than 141 beers on tap (check the Guinness Book of World Records!) And has been voted Best Dive Bar in O.C. Register's "Best of O.C." Every year since 2010. Beer lovers alike travel to The Goat and to get their fix with about any beer you could imagine - including seasonal and rotating craft beer selections throughout the year. Round up your friends and out of town visitors because The Goat Hill Tavern is one Orange County destination you can't afford to miss out on! Get used to the peanut shells on the floor because that's all we have for food, and feel free to toss the shells when you're finished cracking. Enjoy a game of billiards, shuffleboard, or foosball and have a smoke on our covered patio side of the bar. Plenty of HDTV's line the patio and bar so you can watch the game while having a couple drinks.
