It specializes in pastrami and the pastrami is very good. The sandwiches are LOADED with meat. I had half a hot pastrami on rye (you can switch the breads around) and it had as much pastrami as a sandwich and a half in some other places. Free parking in back.

After much deliberation he decided on Johnnie's more for its location as it is close to where we will be that afternoon. We arrived past 7 pm and was surprised to find the place only half full as we were expecting a busy... More

Dined alone at the counter. Large pastrami and a coke. The server suggested another coke for the road as I was paying. $30 with tip! Very delicious but not enough for a repeat visit.

I always get the fish and chips but with the onion rings instead of fries. The fries are pretty bad. But, my son gets the pastrami sandwich and loves it! The beer selection is crap but the food is reasonably priced and worth the wait. Just don't ask for a milk shake!!

Cash Only. Great small place for a good hot pastrami sandwich. Love the atmosphere. Small Diner tables w/ jukebox, Individual Coin Operated selection at each of the tables inside. Great late night spot. Been coming here for years.

Delicious sandwiches in a classic lunch counter environment. The waitress gave me great instructions on how to take the bus to Venice Beach from there.

I tried the famous pastrami sandwich and a side of fries. All I can say is wow! Good old fashion thin shaved pastrami and fresh made bread super with crunchy crinkle fries. The little tabletop juke box with oldies is great. They were super fast and super friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who loves little pastrami sandwich
