Hugh seafood tanks right at the entrance is a good sign that they do good seafood, also famous for their dim sum lunches. A very large restaurant but always full. Service is average, well, i consider pretty given that it's a Chinese joint.

Great array of choices on the menu. There are various prefixed family style dinners. Lunch menu is dim-sum. There are a whole host of entrees: beef flank, pork, chicken, salmon, sea bass, clams, lobster, prawns, plus a garden variety selection of vegetables. Dish prices are not modest, but above average to high. Great oriental decor within the restaurant. The drawback... More

Consistent. Delicious. Authentic. Always packed with people yearning to taste the flavourful Chinese dishes. A perfect advice: an indication of good Chinese restaurant is to search for a packed, busy, filled with Chinese people- thats Koi Palace- even if its packed and busy , the turn over is quick- Service is quick and they maintain a decent service. Well dressed... More

I like good Dim Sum and I like to take my family to Koi Palace at least once a month. I was born in Hong Kong and truly miss the delicious Dim Sum there. Dim Sum is more then just good Cantonese food, it is about good memories. I can still remember when I was just six years old and... More

This restaurant now accepts reservations and therefore I was able to try it with my sister and our friend for lunch. Besides your regular dim sum dishes, this place serves a crunchy rice roll, abalone pastry and an express and sweet spareribs. When we went at 11:00am, the place was starting to fill up. The service was good and very... More

We went to Koi Palace with high expectations grounded in nostalgia. We ate there years ago--back when it was the best dim sum to be had in the dim sum rich Bay Area. And Koi Palace of today does not measure up to Koi Palace of yesteryear. The same throngs of people--and long wait times--as before--but the food was greasy,... More

No matter how early you get to Koi Palace, it will always be a crowded and chaotic. But to their credit- they do have a system, it seems to work. I'm just not a fan of chaos. The food is good, (except the sticky rice) but there are some "surprises" as in, "that piece of pork belly was $22?! eek,... More

Overrated! We waited over an hour to get in. The service is terrible. The waiter/waitress are so rude if you don't speak Chinese. The food is not that good. We are from Chicago and the Dimsum in Chicago is way better than this!

We got there before opening time, had to take a number, and finally got seated after about an hour. Not worth the wait. The only reason we ate here was because visitors from another country wanted to eat here.

Unless reservations are made, be prepared to wait. I am unsure if reservations have a party requirement or if they even can be made for dim sum. Dim sum is served during the day, and dinner service at night. This place is always busy. The dim sum can be ordered off a menu or you can choose off the carts/trays... More
