Kick back and relax while Nikitas handles your fresh squeezed smoothie or an ice cold frappe! Has many beverages that most don't cater to in the area, so be sure after a long walk you make a pit stop. If you're looking to lay down...in the sun that doesn't take you out of the Fry, look no more. In the front there's a great beach with umbrellas and they'll handle your demands while you enjoy that tan. Definitely will be back!More

View of the beach while you are enjoying your coffee. Little "mezedes" makes your day. A little loud because is near the street but a nice location for breakfast.

Whenever on Kassos I like to go - before dinner at other places - for an ouzo and meze, with good connection to the internet, to the 'Blue Mare', the a bit oddly English-Italian named snack-bar on the edge of the village of Fry with...good, but not spectacular views (these can anyway only be had at the small fishing harbour of Bouka). There is mainly outdoor seating. I usually go for a an ouzo here, which comes with a very Kassiote meze, all with excellent products: pieces of local and typical 'Psilokouloura'-biscuits (covered with sesame and cumin seeds), slices of hard Graviera cheese from Kassos (we saw where it was produced) and tiny, very tasty black olives, also from the island. Nikitas, who runs this place, is a friendly, discrete, well behaved young man.More

The Blue Mare has apparently only been open a few weeks. We chose this restaurant because of the view from the balcony over the harbour. Consequently we were taking a chance on the food. The free carafe of wine was a further incentive. Started with...garlic prawns which were good. My husband had the steak which was excellent and I wish I had had the same as my swordfish was a little on the dry side. But overall presentation and service was very good.More
