Good food, great salsa! Authentic Mexican food, enchiladas are my test dish, and La Costa passed! Fresh iced tea, that's a big plus. A good selection of Mexican beer, and it is open until 9.

Delicious, our favorite restaurant to visit when we are in Fortuna. Small but nice, food is yummy. Fast service. Always busy, this is where the locals go to get good food!

First, parking is not convenient. We actually parked down a ways, in the street. They do not offer many spaces. The place was busy, lots of take out orders. We stood at the door a while before anyone seated us. The store is filthy. I remember saying to my hubby, "I don't want to even think about what the kitchen... More

In the last few years I have had Mexican food from every border state, lot of other states and even quite a few places in Mexico. This was simply the best. Amazingly simple and small, looking like a transplant from Brownsville TX. From the second he delivery guy loaded up his well used Mazda sedan big aluminum trays that leaked... More

Finally, a Mexican restaurant in Humboldt that isn't terrified of spicy food! Salsa and sauces are great - enchilada was the only thing that wouldn't order again. I am going back tomorrow to have dinner with friends!

we found la costa to have very good food and such friendly service. hubby had a beef enchilada and one-half servings of rice and beans. since we ate pretty late, this was perfect for him. it was tasty and excellent. i had a chicken quesadilla - which was perfect for me. no frills, just lots of gooey cheese and moist... I love coming here. It's always bust with locals and I end up sitting with friends. Food is typical but not overpriced. The aura is downhome and nothing snooty. I like to place the jukebox with the Mexican Music while I'm there. Go, it's fun!

I was amazed at the food. I had the Chicken Parilla. The chicken was season perfectly. Their made from scratch flour tortillas are out of this world. I have traveled all over the US and been to Mexico twice. The tortillas are 10x better than what I had in Mexico. A must stop for anyone in the area!

The food was over all pretty good but the service needs help. Not sure if it was because they were busy and only had one waitress or what but that part of their business needs help.
