There are two locations near each other, a small pickup storefront and a restaurant. Look for the green door set back off the road for the restaurant. This food is outstanding! Everything is full of flavor and spices. The rice is even tasty. The beef kabobs are my favorite. If meat could be considered candy this is it because it... More

Fremont is home to a large Afghan population and this restaurant is one of the benefits. They have all the usual Afghan fare and seem to be expanding their menu to include some items not typically found elsewhere. Food is excellent and the flavors are intense without being spicy-hot. The kebabs, beef and lamb, are nice and tender. The sides... More

Had a good time relishing some authentic Afghani cusine. Even though the space is not awesome, it is the food makes the experience good.

We go to this restaurant at least once a week. The kabob's are absolutely fantastic, always delicious and so tender. Every item should be tried and enjoyed. You can't go wrong and i'm sure you will enjoy your meal.

Disappointing experience! The bread wasn't fresh, and the seasoning was not impressive and the whole ambiance is not attractive. We ordered: 1)Bodinjon Roasted eggplant topped w/ garlic yogurt, dry mint & served w/ afghan bread - it is half of a whole eggplant probably baked in the oven or cooked. 2) Chaplee Kabob (Spicy) Beef patties‏ mixed w/ green onion,... The best kabobs ever! Whenever we are in the East Bay area we stop by to pick up an order to go. The food is that amazing. We have a picky teenager, but he knows this place and likes their cooking a lot. The beef kabobs are the best in my opinion. The jasmine rice gives the perfect flavor to... More

This restaurant has very good food and has many good dishes. What I recommend and order always is 1. Qabuli Pulao which is rice mixed with meat, raisins and covered with julienned carrots. 2. Chaplee Kabob: these are grilled beef patties mixed with green onion, eggs, and some great seasonings. The rest of the food is also very good but... More

We can just join in with other reviews - the grilled lamb is our favorite, with brown long grain rice. Start with the traditional yogurt/chopped cucumber drink, and finish off with a glass of hot black tea. Add to that, a very friendly and helpful service.

A quaint small Afghani Restaurant with home style cooking of original flavours that hit you as soon as you enter the room causing you to salivate before the menu is placed before you. Being the first time to have eaten Afghani food we were anxious as to what we would enjoy but our server, Abdul gave helpful hints both as... More
