Nice focus on local cuisine, generous portions, excellent food. Great vibe. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

I haven't been to their new location, but the old place in Guadalupe was great! If you are a vegetarian of any sort, or don't eat red meat, then don't bother. The Far Western has excellent steaks -- and is one of the few places...More
We were happy to find the new Far Western Tavern location in Orcutt is even better than the original in Guadalupe. The food is excellent and was a good bargain for lunch. The place is very bright and classy, and the service was excellent. The...More

This location is closed and empty. They have moved to a new location in Old Orcutt. Just trying to save people a trip out of their way to arrive and be disappointed. There are not two locations, just the new one in Old Orcutt.
We went to there old place in Guadalupe and now that they have a brand new place in Orcutt, the place has the same ambienence and the food and service is still good
