I had the chicken tamales - nice, soft dough and lots of meat. emjoyed having the option of regular pintos instead of the ubiquitous retried beans. Ample portions.

We've been going to Progresso for nearly 40 years. We've always found it enjoyable. Nothing fancy, but good food.

I have had their tamales since I was a kid. Traditional Mexican food. Nothing spectacular but it's filling. Wish they would stay open later, they close early, around 8-8:30 pm so get there early.

Went for lunch. It is a Casual place. Food is tasty and well presented. Fir dessert I tried their flan. It was different - sort of more dense - which I really liked.

Last time I went to Progreso's (a few years ago), it was so bad, I swore to never go again. However, my daughter wanted to try it out so I gave it one more chance. I already knew that they used the cheapest ingredients for the food and we'd probably be served by teenagers, so I ordered the tamales thinking... More

The food overall was just okay, as was the service. The dinner salad was bagged lettuce and tired. I guess they are know for the tamales, which were good but nothing to rave over. Pretty sure I would not return.

Old restaurant located in a classic building in downtown. The food is awesome and we enjoy the service from Lilly. She is very attentive as we visit frequently.

Authentic, tasty, great tortilla soup, YUMMY flour tortilla chips, excellent salsa, smooth margaritas! Every time I come, I order the Burritos Rancheros. I'm hooked on them!

Progresso's! A local Hollister institution for years. I have been eating there since I was a kid (and yes thats a long time ago). We absolutely love their Chile Verde- We know everyone has their own idea of what perfect Chile Verde should be and this is ours. It is tasty and the portions are huge. We don't stray much... More

This place is no authentic mexican food restaurant! We had chile rellenos and turned out it was more of a huevo relleno with some awful yellow cheese! The food is bland. The chile verde has no chile verde! Sodas taste like baking soda! This is a disgrace to mexican food! Taco bell is more mexican then this and thats saying... More
