Stumbled into the restaurant after a dentist visit. Late lunch, so the place was almost empty. Pleasantly surprised about the quality of the food. Service was fine, bar tender/server took my order, made my drink, delivered the food, and presented the bill. I had the 'grilled vegetable stack' beautiful presentation, and very tasty as my appetizer. The mail dish was... More

Not only did this restaurant provide a cozy and charming atmosphere, but the food was also delicious! The food had great flavour along with a helpful and friendly staff. If you like good Mexican food, give it a try. It is the best I have had in the Coachella Valley.

I have been coming to Soul of Mexico for a couple years for lunch and always liked it. 2 weeks ago I brought friends from out of state for lunch and they liked it better than another local restaurant that gets more publicity that they have been to numerous times on visits to La Quinta. I came here for a... More

Their salsa is homemade and fab!!! Wait staff is also very friendly. We only stopped in for a margarita so can't vouch for rest of menu but if salsa is any indication, well worth the trip!!

We arrived back in the desert last week and of course one of our first stops was at Soul of Mexico. The food here is always fresh, always tasty, and the service is top notch. This is a great spot for Mexican food.

We were going to a concert and did not have time for dinner. We stopped and had a cocktail and some appetizers. I had the shrimp Cocktail and my wife had the cheese quesadillas. Both were excellent. We sat at the bar and Cappy took very good care of us. We will be back for dinner and then make an... More

Great Mexican restaurant if you like very mediocre and not cheep food. Or may be if you really do not care about good Mexican food and want to drink some beer and have something to eat with it and have a good time with friends. The atmosphere is good: large halls that accommodate large groups. Service is basic = good.... More

The michoacan enchiladas were tasty and unique. The carne asada burrito is big, juicy and we'll seasoned. Staff is attentive. Lighting is a bit dim. Overall, it was good but not great. I was hoping for more out of the food and ambiance. The food could have used more spice.

The place stinks like a rest stop restroom. The service took a long time to get anything. 2 servers took note of what we were drinking to refill them and never followed through. I ordered the enchiladas combo plate with extra enchilada sauce. Gave me a dried up enchilada with hardly any sauce. But that's not the worst...I think the... More
