Went in there over the weekend to grab some food for the kids. The Server let us know ahead of time that she had stuff for the kids, but did not tell us the price. When we got the check we were surprised to see $12 for Grilled cheese and $16 for fish & chips. It was obviously frozen food... More

This restaurant has not changed, and is still wonderful Czech food. We were lucky to have Vladimir's daughter serve us and got to learn even more about him and his interesting life. She made a great Old Fashioned!

We've eaten here three times in the month since we arrived, and it is very solid. All the Czech food is simple but cooked to perfection. The fish and chips are also perfect (and I'm British, so I know fish and chips !!) The oysters come from a dock about 50 yards from the kitchen and are simply perfect. Service... More

Well, the good news this place is quite unique. It seems to be virtually untouched for probably 50 years or so. So if you grew up there - it might have some sentimental value to you. But the decor does look like something you could find in some old Czech restaurants. The food ... First off, they do capitalize on... More

Visited Point Reyes over the long weekend. Saw Vladimir's when we passed Inverness and my boyfriend wanted wiener schnitzel so when we saw this place we decided to give it a try. Note they only accept cash. They should have put a note outside that it they only accepted cash coz it would be a pity to eat your meal... More

Maybe I'm just not into Czech food. The decor was interesting, but the people running the place seemed more interested in visiting with friends than serving us and we were practically the only people in the place. All dinner entree's are $27 and I'm OK with that if the food is impressive, but to my taste it was nothing special.... More

Another reviewer said "It's not about the food." That may be true. Authentic Eastern European family meals are not what you would expect to find in Point Reyes. Vladimir's is a historical experience. If you ask about the history of Vladimir's escape to the west on skis and how he wound up in Inverness, you may have an entertaining time.... More

When I lived in San Francisco many years ago, my boyfriend often drove us up here for a nice getaway dinner. I fondly remember cozy, rainy evenings in front of a large fire eating wonderful Eastern European food. After reading the reviews, I was reluctant to spend the money eating there on a recent trip to the Point Reyes area,... More

Vladimir's is not a place you go for the food. This ruby-red naugahyde gem of a watering hole with a storied past is beloved by locals and tourists alike. it is an old fashioned place that does not accept credit cards, bless you for it Vlad! Since Vladimir has passed away the food has lost some of its luster but... More

I'm sorry, the food was not up to par with what we like at all. Pretty much inedible. Even old country standards would shun this place. Sorry.
