This evening our group of friends wanted to have just normal Chinese food. For a change we didn't want spicy Szechuan or Dim Sum or crustaceans in a bag or gourmet but down home food. All the tables at Chef Chen are of the round large type so there is no shortage of table space for all the plates. The... More

I had the Happy Family with shrimp. Lots of very fresh veggies and good quality shrimp. I had a fountain drunk all for $10 including tax. I ordered brown rice. I will come back.

My wife and I come here regularly and we can only say that the review suggesting that the staff is unfriendly is nonsense. We have always been greeted in the most friendly of fashions, even before we became return customers. The shopping center this restaurant is in has many restaurants and the parking lot is always crowded, so that it can... This is a small restaurant in a mall with a lot of other restaurants. They have good noodles of all kinds, dim sums are fine. We tried the new year cake with pork and it came out fine. The price is reasonable. For Cantonese food, you can try the Sam Woo a few storedown.

This place is surrounded by a variety of Asian restaurants...all were on a 60-90 minute wait. We were able to get right in (always a scary sign). The food was very good though: classic but not gourmet. The best item we had was the garlic and bok choy...I ate most of it until my 10 y.o. son realized how yummy... More

Our family likes to go there for the beef noodle soup. We like the original and the thin beef noodle soup for our kids. Dimpling is good too. Steam bao( little bun) is bad unless you order the melon shrimp one which is ok. Another food is good is the grilled beef pie . It is small but tasty

This restaurant is not a good place. It is very small and uncomfortably crowded. The ignorant waiters just kept loitering around my table, and they made me feel very uncomfortable. Also, the food is not worth its price. Please do not come to this bad place.

This was our first trip to Chef Chen's. The green onion pancake and potstickers were delightful, above average, as our kids devoured them. The other dishes we ordered were good. Everything was cooked to order and appeared very fresh. Downer was 15 minutes after the meal I had a terrible tummy ache - think it was the seasoned peanuts they... More
