Burgers were good, sandwiches were good, pot pies are okay. Sometimes service is slow others times it has been quick.

The food arrived cold. It was not what was advertised. They mixed up our orders and the restaurant had a loose dog running around while we were there.

As my family and I step in, no one greeted us. The owner was at the cash register and dis not even acknowledged us. The busboy greeted us and put our name on the waiting list. At that point the owner gave a few orders to the busboy in a demeaning voice. After a few minutes the waitress got us... More

We had steaks with French fries, and if we hadn't been so desperate,we would have walked away. The restaurant was overwhelmed by the holiday crowds, and the service was stretched very thin. It looked like they were trying their best, but the circumstances were impossible. We were in Julian during the holiday break between Christmas and New Year's, and the... More

Dinner on a Tuesday night. Place only had 3 other tables of patrons at 6pm. Ordered meals, "Special Pot Pie", steaks, and a Burger. Four of us had salads as a side, fresh cut romaine and a few veggies, very nice. Blue cheese dressing was like water, but they did put some crumbles on top. We were never offered drink... More

We were a party of 4 adults and 3 children for dinner on a Monday night. Had difficulty getting waiter to take our order; he was up front and could not see our table. Only two other tables occupied at the time. Finally got order placed, food came out timely and food was good. Never got refill on drinks. Never... More

There aren't so many choices to eat in this little town. We came for dinner on our first night and the waitress was great. The non-meat options are very limited. I had the Tiliipia which even though it was frozen was ok. The steamed rice that it was served on was on the verge on going bad however.

My college-aged daughter and I went to Julian in early October to get a sense of autumn. We stopped in at Rongbranch for lunch. I'd had the Red Beans and Rice there many years before, and wondered if they were as good as I remembered. They were...comfort food at its best. The meal came with cornbread also. The service is...
