My wife and I stopped at the A Good Place to Eat restaurant earlier today after a day of hiking among the redwoods. We were initially dubious when we pulled up as it appears to be a fairly run down convenience store but something about the place suggested that it may be more than the visuals were leading us to... Good food from the homemade sandwiches to the pizza! Everything we had had here was delicious. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The Pizza is outstanding! Best place to have a good pizza, and they cook it in a pizza oven which makes it perfect. Love to have a meal here anytime.

It is a restaurant in the back of a convenience store, adjacent to the Cabins where we stayed. If you stay there, you can call your order in and they will bring it to you. It's mostly just fast food types of offering and fried foods, so it is not fine dining or particularly fresh but decent enough when you... More

Went here for breakfast and they had one of the best breakfasts we have had on our trip so far. The place is not fancy it is a convenience store , bar, and restaurant in one. But the food is great and filling.

This is a roadside place to eat. You can get drinks from the store if you wish and add to your tab. Food is basic fast food, good if you have kids. There are better options in the area. The store has a buzzer that chimes every time someone enters the store. So if constant annoying sounds going off while... More

What a cute little cafe in a storefront mini mart, we loved our chicken fried steak sandwiches and mojo's. Yummy. Wish we were not just traveling through because we would have loved to try their breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We, too, had our concerns about a restaurant in a fast mart. However, the grilled salmon we ordered was incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked on the grill. The samples of smoked salmon they make were the best we've ever eaten--and we've eaten a lot. In addition, the quiet friendliness of all the staff completely won us over. Really delicious, and... I had heard great things about this place and after a hike in Redwood NP we gave it a shot. We had the chicken fried steak sandwich with jo-jos and it was excellent! They also had eight beers on tap. The employees are really nice and friendly and the prices aren't bad either.

We stayed in one of the cabins behind the store and after reading all the reviews decided to have dinner here. What a treat. My husband and I shared the 16oz rib eye steak with rosemary potatoes & coleslaw. The steak was cooked perfectly for us (medium rare), our hats off to Willie the cook, and the potatoes were a...
