We made reservations for Sunday brunch and were seated in the outdoor patio. There was a varied brunch and lunch menu with so many different items, it was pretty hard to choose! Finally decided on the short rib hash that came with chunked short ribs, 2 poached eggs and diced potatoes served over a bread slice and a delicious green... More

My wife and I go to Prepkitchen quite often since it's close to her work and it's my favorite place for dinner when we're eating out. 1. The staff are great and so friendly that they make you feel at home. They remember you when you come back and they treat you like family. 2. The food is delicious and... More

The banana and blueberry pancakes are arguably the best pancakes I have ever had! Doughnut holes come out hot and delicious. Mimosas are on the menu but I sadly didn't order one. Highly recommend eating here.

Best Porter Braised Short Ribs, and Roasted Beet and Spinach salad! Get the Burratta, if you're into it. It was delicious.

We had lunch here on our recent San Diego trip and all of us (3) were disappointed. With the rave reviews we expected something memorable but that was not the case. The outdoor seating was nice although the tables are very close. We had the hanger steak, fish tacos and the pan roasted herb chicken. The hanger steak was very... More

My wife and I ate here on our honeymoon after being recommended by a staff member we had met earlier in our trip. The food was absolutely fantastic! We had an assortment of the mussels, salmon, and chicken, which were all top notch quality! The staff made our experience very memorable and we would love to return someday!

The atmosphere & service were perfect but the food was phenomenal! Mary's Chicken is to die for and the warm bean & arugula salad.... Awesome. The caesar dressing was one of the best I've had and I eat a lot of crasser salads. We cant wat to try the other locations.

SpecialtiesThe Whisknladle Crew is pleased to welcome you to Prepkitchen. Prepkitchen was inspired by our never-ending quest to make our food from scratch and then driven by physical limitations of Whisknladle's tiny kitchen. At first it was nothing more than chicken scratch and a logistical nightmare but over time it blossomed into what it is today; our casual quick bite eatery, take out joint and gourmet market.Soups - Salads - Sandwiches - Antipasti - Entrees - Fresh Pastas - House Cured Meats Artisan Cheeses - Beer - WineMeet the Business Owner: Arturo K.What first started as an off the cuff partnership between a hungry & talented chef (Ryan Johnston)in need of a kitchen and a desperate culinary school drop out in need of a chef (Arturo Kassel) hasblossomed over the last 4 years into Whisknladle Hospitality.Together with our committed and passionate managing partners and our patient angel investors (?), we've continued to grow from one small and ambitious little restaurant to a small little restaurant group with even bigger ambitions.Since opening Whisknladle's doors in 2008, our company's mission has been to bring good food, good wine & great people together.Culinarily speaking, we take a back to the future approach to cooking by working with seasonal & farm to table products and taking the time to make most of our food from scratch; the way it used to be, they way it ought to be.
