Went to the restaurant spur of the moment with two kids. Nice outside seating but we sat inside. They had kids menu with crayons. Ordered the beef carpaccio, salmon sandwich and Brussels sprouts. Everything was really good. Cheese raviolis and penne pasta for the kids that they loved. What especially stood out for me was that I ordered a beer... More

We had breakfast on the Sunday of the parade, and selected the Bistro because it didn't have a wait time. Seating on the patio in front was available, and it was a beautiful morning so we opted for that. My favorite part of my breakfast (eggs and applewood bacon with rosemary potatoes) was the homemade cheese scone-yum! Hubby had the... More

Came here for dinner with a group of 6 people. 5 out of 6 of us were disappointed. Three of us ordered the lasagna (it's my go to when I'm trying an unfamiliar Italian restaurant). So disappointing! I asked my friend how she liked her; her words were the same. The woman across from me ordered a fettuccini dish with... More

Pretty good menu and reasonably priced for what it is. The food and service are both good, definitely worth a visit.

Great from start to finish. Lovely warm super fresh bread with oil, amazing pasta with chicken, meat pizza way above standard, meat balls super tasty, our party of 4 left not even a smear of sauce on the plates. Was delicious. Lovely environment too with a warm friendly feel. Was busy when we visited but service fine too. Bravo!

Lunch at the outside patio tables is a must whenever we visit La Jolla. The Turkish couple that owns the restaurant are also very talented artists as evidenced by the murals done by the owner. Not only is he a mural artist, but unique and creative menu selections make dining there a treat, both for the atmosphere and food. I... More

The menu is quite extensive, so it was hard to pick. I decided on a beet salad, which was very good. Perhaps a little too heavy on the arugula, but very tasty. I sat outside to watch the locals , it was pleasant. The service is excellent.

If you're looking for good food that's reasonably priced Bernini's Bistro is worth trying. I had the lasagna and my wife had the trout almondine. Both dishes were delicious. For dessert we recommend the bread pudding which has a Bananas Foster flavor. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The restaurant is within walking distance of many local hotels and the... Pretty decor is the only nice thing we can say for this disappointing stop for lunch. Wait staff were ineffecient, dripped food on us (with no offer to clean or money off bill, from olive oil all over my wife's sweater), did not know the menu, got orders wrong and just plain sucked a big one. Food came out of... More

My friend and I dined here on our last in La Jolla. We had the hamachi tower, which was incredible followed by the pasta with a leek cream sauce - so delicious and so decadent. They also have a great wine list with some excellent California selections. I will definitely return on my next trip to La Jolla.
