The owner Dianne Powers recreated the loved and cherished themes from her old town ties to La Mesa with lots of flavors from So Cal! Mom loved her Fried ice cream! Needless to say we eat here 2 times a month. Staff is well trained and friendly.

Really bad costumer service, we had a problem with our bank card and we needed to cancel one of the dishes we just ordered, the manager didn't want to cancel he said we just waisted the food and the had lost a lot of money for that dish. We finally found another way to pay even do we didn't want... More

A very good spot to eat and to bring family and friends but it's a little more expensive than some of our local taco shops( which I think have better quality Mexican food). As a San Diego local I always like it when I'm having individually made food and not a plate that's been heated up with the beans and... More

A group of us gathered here for a celebratory lunch. The margaritas were tasty and refreshing. The corn chips were crisp, fresh and plentiful. Our food platters were large and the food delicious. Despite the having many people in our group, lunch was served promptly. With it's colorful and festive decor Casa de Pico were surely brighten your day and... More

This is one of my favorite, "sit down" Mexican restaurants in La mesa. Yes it is trendy, but the food is great, the atmosphere festive, a Mariachi band is usually strolling by singing, and the service is decent. They start you off with some delicious chips and salsa, try to contain yourself because the portions of food they bring you... More

This restaurant is a favorite in La Mesa. The servers were very friendly and the food was plentiful and fast.I found the prices on the high side. The food was typical, not great not bad.The major problem with this place was it was too noisy.I couldnt hear the person seated right next to me.There isnt much they can do about that because... This has been my goto place for Mexican for years, back as far as when they were in old Town. You can't go wrong here.

This is one of our family and friends favorite Mexican restaurants, where you can sit down and have a great meal and just relax. One of the largest menu selections ever and everyone a great choice. They have a full bar and the staff have always been great. Plenty of seating in a very comfortable setting with a mariachi band... More
