Big Fish has a nice view from just about anywhere in the tavern. Lots of drink options. Food is just average, but what one might expect for a place like this. Certainly nothing to write home about. Fun place to have a drink, then find dinner elsewhere.

Delicious food and great service! I didn't have very high expectations but it surprised me. There is food for everyone's taste from the youngest one to the oldest. Pretty good prizes for the food quality AND quantity!!

Got there before the Friday Night crowd hit. Had an OK cup of New England style clam chowder and a great sea food cobb salad. Would have had a bowl of the clam chowder but my waiter warned me that the salad would be huge, and he was right! For first time visitors parking is a problem... I ended up... More

We wanted a fresh fish dinner so we choose this resturant based on the reviews. The fish was fresh and well cooked but the portion size was very small especially for the price. The kicker was the price for the drinks which tasted watered down. The waitress was helpfull and attentive.

Fairly empty restaurant. Should have been a clue on a Saturday night. Daughter order fillet well done. Took 30 minutes to get meal. Cut into it. It was medium rare. It happens, no problem. They took it back and re-cooked it. Still pink. Like rubber. Mgr came out. Then they said they would re-make it. That took 25 min. Asked... More

Our hotel concierge recommended Big Fish Tavern when we were looking for a casual spot to enjoy within walking distance of our hotel. We arrived just in time to watch the sun go down over the Pacific. Our Hostess saw to it that we had a corner spot right by the window, our cocktails packed a punch, food was tasty... More

We were craving good seafood, so we drove 5 1/2 hours to stay over one night and eat seafood. Big Fish did not disappoint us and our waiter was kind and friendly.

Our entrees and drinks were incredible. Waitress was attentive, but didn't hover. Perfect evening until we ordered dessert. Creme brulee was awful. Whoever threw it together needs to go back to the dishroom. All three were not tempered correctly and had the consistency and texture of lard. One bite was more than enough. How that disgusting mess made it passed... More

The place is a decent bar that also serves food. If you go to drink then it's fine. If you go to eat, then expect bar food, bland and greasy.

The food was fine, and the service was good, however, the food was not good enough to go back with so many awesome restaurants in laguna beach
