The hotel next door is closed for rennovation, but the attached saloon keeps the goodies coming, along with great drinks, in the interim. This time we also had the sophisticated grilled cheese sandwich, with tomato and all sorts of yummy extras, along with... More

An old west motif, bartenders with vests/bow ties and superior mixology skills, plus, out of this world small plates, burgers & sandwiches...the best part of our trip.

I wasn't too inspired by the menu, which was mostly salads, sandwiches, and sides, but it would be a great place for lunch. And, of course,... More

Chef Brooke has definitely upped the yummy factor with new dishes that are available on an expanded schedule and in both the wine saloon and hotel dining room.

Yes she's sure a great looking Hotel that begs you to come in.... yes the decor is great too and in Western theme as you would expect... yes cool garden area through to the side. .. but rude and arrogant female staff behind the bar. Went there twice but the second time proved it was not a one-off. She should... More

The best bar in town. The moment you step in to this place, you'll feel like you're in Back to the Future part 3. They have an awesome lobby area, and the best bar in town. Good tapas and of course a great selection of wines. This will probably be the most happening spot on any given Friday or Saturday... More

Los Alamos is just off the 101 freeway, between Buellton and Santa Maria. We stopped for lunch here on a hot, Sunday afternoon on the way back from Solvang. We avoided the Saloon, a separate venue next to the hotel proper. Instead we went into the hotel restaurant proper, located in the back of the hotel lobby. We had eaten... More

Union Hotel is a historic hotel with creaky floors and western flare. They have a lovely outdoor area for big events, such as weddings, and seating out there to enjoy a drink and meal. Known for being the location for the MJ & Paul McCarthy video "Say, Say, Say" which you can see in the now "wine saloon" serving up... More
