Went in for a quick breakfast with my friend this morning. They were busy and seemed to have only 1 lady taking care of everyone, but she was great. My friend had a classic breakfast of eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast, while I ordered the avocado BLT on a croissant. My order arrived without avocado but the server fixed it... More

This little hole in the wall is the perfect place to get breakfast in Los Altos. There is zero attitude, and perhaps for that reason doesn't draw the maddening touristy crowd. The OJ is amazing and the breakfast is just what you ordered and nothing more. The service is superb. One waiter runs the entire place, and she has a... More

All food is selected to give each customer the best of selection--the freshest, tastiest, organic items wherever possible. Homemade and tastey. Great breakfast and brunch spot but don't forget the burgers (great fries) and delicious soups! Clean, friendly. Cash only! Don't miss this place!! Friendly counter if dining alone.

It's a tiny hole in the wall in Los Altos and only the true locals know it exists. The woman who owns and runs it greets you with a smile and a warm welcome and you feel right at home. Everything is prepared fresh and from all organic ingredients, which taste terrific. Tables outside inside and booths make it a... More

If you're a fan of local breakfast spots, check out The Village Pantry in Los Altos. There's nothing too fancy here--just really good eats that are cooked well and served with a smile. A total lack of pretension and a commitment to service make the place a standout.

One of our favorite places in town for the extremely friendly, warm and fast service. The breakfast and lunch menu offers a great selection of traditional and some specialty items. The breakfast quesadilla is great (the salsa is homemade!) and their sandwiches are classic coffee shop Americana. Small inside dining room, 3 booths, 8 counter seats, 4 tables but there... More

We are visiting USA from UK doing a fly drive from San Francisco to Denver and came across this beautiful town off the main road. Fancied a coffee and ended up having lunch and going back for breakfast following day. The staff made us so welcome, recommended food to try and trips to take off local visitor trail. Julie is... Dining at Village Pantry is like eating at your mom's or Auntie's house. It's fresh, organic, home-made real food. My faves are breakfast quesadilla, eggs Benedict, huevos rancheros, hash browns and #4 breakfast. This is not a hipster cafe. It's an old fashioned diner where everybody knows your name. We are a couple of Julie and David's regulars amongst dozens... More

In between the two main drags in Los altos sits the unassuming Village Pantry Coffee Shop, long a mainstay in downtown LA. This morning I had the combination eggs, bacon & sausage, and biscuits and gravy. Service was quick, but the portions a bit skimpy on the biscuits and gravy; however there were lots of bits of sausage in the... More
