the food here was amazing. I got the chilequiles and my partner got the blueberry pancakes. service was quick and quite friendly. There was not a long wait for the food. the portions sizes were great and drinks were great (mimosas). wuld definitely recommend to anyone else staying in DTLA

This was my first time and I had looked on the web to find a nice brunch place DTLA. I was referred to Nickel Diner and this was awesome. Great and cool choices. I have the Duck-Cluck brunch plate. This was WOW. Loved the flavor of the duck sausage with the fried poached eggs on polenta with greens. very cool.... More

We had high expectations of the Nickel Diner based on their positive reviews but we were sorely disappointed. We went for breakfast and ordered the French toast ($11.25), Scramble #2 ($12.75 which had bacon, spinach and cheese and came with potatoes) and also a maple bacon donut ($3.50). The French toast was burnt and tasted bitter, and the scramble &... More

If you like diners, you should really go here. There are lots of options for comfort food and the prices are fair. If I am ever back in that area I would definitely go again.

Hope you're hungry! This place will provide a treat to your senses and provide your money's worth in deliciousness. Servers are delightful. And the ambiance is early 40s with a sound track to match. Breakfast is their specialty. Pancakes served until noon. My recommendation: visit L.A.'s City Hall first (it is FREE!), taking in the great 26th floor view of... More

All a round great food and decently priced too. Its a gem and ..... not far from the jewelry mart either. Can Uber or Lyft up to Olvera street in just a few minutes once done.

Thanks Jody for a fabulous start to our morning. We sat and were served immediately. The food was good, the Big Daddy burrito in particular is a worthwhile choice. Would definitely make this a regular spot if I lived in town.

We came with a party of 10 on a Sunday early afternoon, and luckily, they were able to seat us right away. Albeit, 3 separate tables, but they were all close together. This actually helped in the end since they only allow for 2 credit cards transactions per table. The noise level was average, and our service was spectacular with... More

In terms of breakfast food, THIS IS IT. I am a very tough customer and never gave a restaurant 5 stars before. I've eaten at Nickel for years. Food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. Don't miss it of you are in the area.
