This PCH has been here forever unfortunately they will be closing their doors sometime after October. The cucumber martini was amazing and yummy. The clam chowder was thick and plentiful. I don't like watery soup. The Fish tacos were amazing. Visit this place for a...More

We had a mid-morning meal here on a Sunday. The view was second to none, and the food wasn't far behind. My wife loved her seafood omelette, and I scarfed the crab benedict in record time. Good friendly service was a welcome sight too. Highly...More

Iconic beachfront landmark located on PCH. We requested a table by the window so we could watch the sunset and the waves roll in. The seafood is so fresh it is plucked right from the ocean you are overlooking. I decided on the linguine and...More

We have been to Gladstones when I was a teen 2 years after it opened in 1972. We finally got to return to it in August of 2017. The outside dinning area is wonderful and,as it can only happen in California, free to use even...More

What Gladsrones lacks in culinary arts it makes up for with its on-the-beach location. The food is average and overpriced. However the beachy vibe makes this more palatable.

While driving and experiencing the renowned California high way 1 you will get hungry. Gladstones offers fabulous food literally on the beach. Its divine. A world unto itself!

I had extraordinary souvenirs of the restaurant. Sadly, despite of announcing it was my birthday, service was slow and the food was marginal. I had to argue (a little) about the bill since they did not comp the free desert (as promised). Worth going for...More

Sorry to hear that they will close; the property is nice and tourists have made this a destination. But the food - the food! And the prices!! Really average stuff, not very good, and way too expensive. Two tiny bowls - yes, the bowl! -...More

Gladstones has been a fixture for culinary epicureans since 1972, on the corner of Sunset and Pacific Coast Highway. In fact they are right on the ocean, and if you feel a bit guilty after the meal, you can stroll down to the beach! Known...More

In a world where landmarks are few and far between there is Gladstone's. Situated where Sunset Boulevard meets the Pacific Coast Highway, it's become a place of Southern California legend. One visit and you'll see why. Gladstones offers a menu plucked from the very ocean it overlooks, serving modern renditions of classic dishes as well as favorites from the land. In its typically relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, there's something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're at the raw bar, the lounge, the dining rooms or the grand patio overlooking the surf, it's commonly agreed there's no better place on the coast to enjoy fresh seafood, a Mai Tai or the most beautiful sunset views in SoCal. Book a reservation by phone or web or stop by and enjoy the experience.
