Great service, but it's just pretty much your average sushi place. No super creative or fun menu items, just the basics. Atmosphere is very urban, sterile feeling. Prices are average as well. If you are hitting an event at Staples, and craving basic Sushi, this one works, but I'm sure there are better places out there.

Ate there twice, service was always quick and food fresh. I can't complain. If you go there after 5pm, some of the menu prices are discounted which is nice. I didn't try all of the sake offerings, but the peach flavored one was good. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite. Also, keep in mind... More

Best Sushi I have tried. Really greet selection. Highly recommend Tony favourite the Lemon Roll and crunchy Shrimp (I didn't try but a favourite of my restaurant buddies!). Reasonable and great service! Will return here from London one day....

During our stay in Los Angeles, we visited Arashi Sushi twice. Seawood salad, Edamame, Sushi, Rolls etc. were very good. We liked it very much. The price is not that high. So in our view it was a very good price/food ratio. Sometimes, it was a little bit loud, but it depends on the audience.

I went before an Adele concert. When we got there the restaurant was not too busy. We put in all our food orders right as the restaurant started to fill up. Finally someone came around to take our drink order but mid way through he walked away. 5 minutes later our waiter came to take our drink order which we... More

Arashi is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. It is not fancy or expensive, which I very much enjoy. The fish is very good and the service is always timely and accurate. They have a great selection of rolls (including some with no rice) and have recently added some new grilled options as well. The spicy tuna on crispy rice... More

This restaurant is just about 1 block away from Staples Centre and I visited this place before attending a Clippers game. The restaurant is very crowded and busy when I was there, perhaps due to the game. I sat at the sushi bar and kept myself busy by observing the 4 chefs preparing the food. The food took some time... Decent sushi. From other reviews, happy hour offers a better deal because of a discount. We had lunch and it was edible. Perhaps we will try on another occasion.

Highly recommend the restaurant. We were recommended by the hotel we were staying in and were not disappointed. Highly recommend the Beef Tatiki Nigri and the Chilean Seabass Roll. Great food.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
