Came here for lunch and the food was decent. It's a nice cozy restaurant that was chill and relaxing. They had some reggae music playing at a modest level which set a Caribbean vibe. I'd recommend trying it.

I was sat down at this restaurant for lunch after taking my dog to daycare next door. I was pleased with the food and service. It's small inside but not cramped; most definitely need to go back.

This is the most authentic Jamaican food besides Jamaica. I am originally from NY and have many Jamaican and Caribbean friends and this is the REAL deal. We started with the beef and seafood patties, very good except they should make mild and spicy for us diehard jerk lovers. We then had the oxtails and curried goat- fantastic! We brought... More

While my husband checked email at the El Royale Hotel, I did a 10 min. walkabout to see what restaurants were close by and came across this one. The menu looked intriguing and had some offerings for my husband who cannot handle spicy food. I had the Apricot Lamb Roast and he had the Drunken Coconut Shrimp, both of which... More

During my recent visit to Los Angeles I was getting tired of big expensive dinners and wanted something different and less fancy. My nephew suggested eating at Sattdown Jamaican Grill in in a strip shopping center in Studio City. It is a very informal small restaurant with only a few tables. I had never eaten Jamaican food before, but the... More

The flavor of the oxtail and curry were very different than what it would taste like in Jamaica but I know curry favors vary a lot. The oxtail did not have any of the nice size meaty pieces it was mostly the smaller bony pieces. What was supposed to be passion fruit juice turned out to be little more than... More

Came to this restaurant with co-workers for lunch and really enjoyed the meal! Off the lunch menu, I had the tropical chicken with rice and beans, vegetables and plantains. It was the perfect portion and I ate every bit of it and threatened to lick the plate! The place is small (about 10 tables) but has that Jamaican beach vibe... More
