So many things you could say about this place. First off, it's basically on the corner of 4th & Broadway, and it's easy to miss. This is partly because they have no sign, partly because they door will be closed until the moment they open, and partly because it doubles as a gay bar at night. I imagine it is... More

Came to LA for a weekend visit with friends and went here on Saturday for brunch and wasn't disappointed. The place is a little hard to find. It's just a little door on the corner of Broadway and 4th next to a place that sells, "Natural Viagra." I was completely oblivious that this place doubles as a gay bar at... More

A celebration was in order, as my friend Shannon is celebrating her 21st birthday! Calculated risks were taken for the following order: Brie Grits with berry compote, topped apple julienne and bourbon cherry granola is grits gone wild. The vibrant flavors appropriated our attention precipitating indiscretion and ravenous returns to the cauldron with reckless abandon. Four to an order, the... More

A place that is like underground for food. The menu is very limited but everything on it is incredibly delicious and unusual. Only open for brunch and lunch and weekends. Not a glamorous place, funky is what it is, but a real food experience. If you don't give it a try you are missing a great experience

Hands down, one of the coolest dining experiences in LA. Few places in this cry where you can get a creative, impeccably prepared brunch with sexy cocktails to match. All breads, sauces and compotes are homemade. The bar tender knows what's up and the wait staff knows how to determine what you're up to. Our waiter Efraim was able to... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
