I found this place by accident, driving by on Sawtelle. They offer a variety of empanadas for $3.50 a piece. It was good food and friendly service. A family-run business who seems to love what they do. I believe they had sandwiches as well, but it was all about the empanadas for me.

Oh Yum! The empanada's are so great at Empanada's Place. You have to check this place out. It is very small and you can eat there in a sweet seating area or take your food to go, which is what we usually do. It is a family run place, the service is great and prices very fair. Each empanada is... More

Very tasty and great service. Conveniently located near the 405, which makes it a must stop on your way to LAX to stack on food for the flight.

I first patronised this place about 16 years ago and stumbled across it when driving by. Came in to order take-out empanadas for lunch. They're good but value is questionable: $3.38 each. Maybe that's seen as reasonable for L.A. but the empanadas weren't that great. The beef ones (had the spicy and normal) are just ground beef. My partner was... More

My favorite is the Arabe - yummy lemony ground beef goodness. Small place but good food. Convenient location - right by the freeway. But parking could be hard to find.

We have ordered out and eaten in. They have a nice flavor selection of empanadas with fresh taste. The 'eat in' area has about 5 small tables which are covered with ethnic table cloths, a few more seats outside/front, and there is a 'shopping display' selling everything Yerbe Matte tea. It is nice, in a cozy, quaint, local sorta way.... More

You go up to the counter and order from a very friendly staff and they bring your order to your table. When we told them we had never had empanadas before they took the time to explain the many different kinds to order. We ordered 4 and all were VERY good. Do try the Criolla our favorite. The Egglpant was... More

I pick these up as carryout and take them to people's houses for parties, they go fast!! The empanadas are so good, I can honestly eat them for every meal. Try out all the flavors, but beef and ham/cheese are still my favorites.

I have been going here since 1999. Always quality and good value. One of my favorite places in the area for a quick bite. You can't go wrong and it makes great for catering as well.

Do you want a quick meal? Something short of the whole nine yards? My suggestion is to eat two or three meat or vegetable empanadas (this place has a huge selection) with either their chimichurri or hot sauce and maybe a hot cup of mate cocido (yerba mate tea), which also tastes good iced. They close around 7 or 8... More
