Our expectations for this restaurant were too high. It is a nice, neighborhood-type restaurant with a fine dining aspect. They offer a mix of French and Greek dishes that are ALL traditional dishes. French dishes relied on sauces for flavor. All were nicely prepared in that French tradition. However, nothing was inventive. The menu focused on the protein – all... More

This is a small but charming place on Ventura Blvd that has only a handful of tables and a few booths. They have an extensive menu (which changes regularly) of both appetizers and entres. The menu has something for everyone--meat,fowl and fish are all available. I would characterize the food as "French" but not uniformly so. All dishes were excellent,as... More

Gastronomique cuisine is harder to find - and we are glad we found Brandywine! Special dishes included abalone, elk, and they had a set of desserts for new years that included an amazingly tasty gingerbread cake. Service was great - the sommelier was unhappy that we had brought our own magnum - but ever other aspect was excellent!

I ate here with my wife and family last week. The place is small, about 11 tables, so it is quite cozy. The service is impeccable, and the food was very good. The prices are moderate to expensive, depending on alcohol, appetizers and dessert. I highly recommend this for a special occasion or a splurge!

I was introduced to Brandywine by friends living in nearby Hidden Hills. Chris and his wife provides an excellent menu in a very friendly atmosphere. You can tell that the staff likes working there by their very entertaining interaction while taking care of their guests. I have frequented this place a number of times and the problem is that it... This place is asmall, quaint restraurant. The owners are the maitre'd and chef. Themenu is on a black board and Chris, the maitre'd explains. I recommend The house specials, veal chop, rack of lamb and the chaituebriand. A real neighbourhood favorite.

This is the best restaurant in the west valley. Great French cooking, small quaint place that offers a fairly large menu for such a small place. Every dish we tried was outstanding. Really enjoyed the veal chop -- the best I ever had. Not nexpensive but worth it for a special dinner.

Went for a birthday dinner. Tiny, only 11 tables...and 7 of those are private booths. Very vintage. Food incredible. Service impeccable. We have been meaning to go for 15 years....so glad we finally made it. White Salmon special that evening was simply amazing...as was every dish we ordered, escargot, veal chop with chanterelles, burrata ....everything was wonderful. Can wait to... More

Interesting and varied menu on two sides of chalkboard on easel (you wait until one is available). No wine list, tell the proprietor what you’d like and he’ll offer a vintage, and return with another, if it’s not to your liking. Scallops were tender, mushrooms on spinach fresh, though little flavor, and a side of plain rice made a pleasant... More

This is "old school" dining at it's best. A small room with booths and tables. The waiter brings the chalkboard to the table to show the daily menu and answer any questions. Smoked salmon was brought to each of us as an amuse bush - and it was excellent. I had wonderful wild salmon with macademia crust and another in... More
