This is an original family owned Mexican restaurant it's the real deal. It's like going to your family to eat. Food is authentic and the burrito can feed a small family. It's a small place for indoor seating and there's usually a line to get in but worth the wait. They do have outdoor seating for food picked up at... More

Most native Angelenos who know and love Mexican food know El Tepeyac on Evergreen St. in East Los Angeles. You will not be disappointed in the size of the burritos, and for a challenge, order a Manny's Special. Most people share it because you will need the help eating alone. The food is fresh, homemade style, delicious, and served hot.... More

I searched Yelp for the best chile verde in the Los Angeles area and was pointed in this direction. I arrived and anticipated a scrumptious delight in my go-to of chile verde. I noted the restaurant was packed and figured how I could go wrong. The waitress brought out fresh, warm, and homemade chips which delightful. One thing was there... More

Once you've made the trek into East LA for Mexican food at El Tepeyac, anywhere else is Ho-Hum. Manuel's El Tepeyac is the Best Mexican food you can get. Put this place on your radar whenever you are in the area. Your tastebuds will not be disappointed. Try to avoid peak times such as 12noon & Sunday after church

This East Los Angeles staple has been serving authentic Mexican food for more than 50 years. Huge Burritos, Tasty Tacos, Enchiladas, Taquitos and Combo Plates. Very friendly staff with both table and counter seating as well as a takeout window outside. A must eat if in Los Angeles!

I have only ever had the burritos which are huge. Very fresh and tasty.Definitely could share a burrito . Not a ton of parking for this popular spot. Probably wouldn't go there at night as the neighborhood is sketchy.

Wish I could get here more often, but I live far away. Every time I am in LA I try to find a way to eat here. Best burrito ever. It's the gold standard.

Dropped by Manuels El Tepeyac with the wife as she had never been there before. She was a little worried because of the neighborhood, from what she has seen on TV. I told her don't worry we will be ok. After sitting down and looking around she said this place looks great. The chips and salsa were great. We both... More
