First - set your expectations for a sausage and beer garden and you are going to have a great experience. The selection of wurst is very wide - from normal, to nice, to exotic - and even three veggie options. Very wide selection of beer (I went with the dry cider, which was excellent). Also recommend getting recommendations. I picked... More

This restaurant has a neat vibe when you walkin, order from the cashier, all the sausages in a cooler for you to see. Two dogs each, one fry, water and iced tea, $42.00 for lunch. I was like okay, it is a gourmet dog, I will give it a shot. I am from Texas and we have great German food... More

We stopped to get dinner on the way from the airport. I don't know if it was because I was craving a good gourmet hot dog for months while I was overseas but the kielbasa I had may very well have been the best hot dog I've ever had. The order line was out the door when we arrived at... More

This was a treat to find in LA. Among the best hot dog ever with a most varied selection of great sausages, and the best fries you can get in LA in my opinion. The beer list is extensive with beers from Belgium and Germany and tasters and advice on offer for the indecisive. Great for kids and adults alike!

Very minimalist and dark surrounding that also has paper for kids to color while screaming during your lunch. $61 for 3 sausages beers and one large fry. Food is average in quality, small for the $.

Wurstkuche is ok if you're looking for a place to pick up something quick to eat. (1 star for the Duck hotdog, a second for the fries cos they're that good, and a third for the convenience.) Food: We ordered three to share between the two of us and unfortunately only one of the three was great - the Duck.... More

Very good environment. Sausage and dogs are alright. Fries not bad. I like it . Will come back to have fun. Not a real restaurant though.

We so loved this place! The bratwurst was one of the best we've ever had, I added sweet and hot peppers. Also loved the beer, first time we've been able to get kolsch from the tap outside of Cologne. Wish we lived closer so we could go back more frequently!

We celebrated my daughter's birthday there. It was perfect for a large group to order your sausage and beer separately. They also provided a special room so we could all be together. A night to remember. Tasty mustards, too.

We heard about this place and wanted to go get a brat & beer. Didn't get the brat but got the beer (excellent selection & quality) and fries. The fries are a must get along with the homemade sauces. We were meeting a friend so while waiting enjoyed the fries and beer. There was a DJ playing club music. We... More

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
