My B&B was right across the street, so i tried it. It seemed like a local bar with an Irish, throughbred horse theme. The service was good, the well drink generous and the burger was good. The fries I didn;t like too hard and crisp for me. For a drink and burger /fries $13 before tip. Not bad for LA... More

Was looking for somewhere close by to eat, and this popped up on my search. I have stayed in the area many times and hadnt visited so gave it a go. Its a cute English/Irish style pub. Good selection of beers and plenty of other drinks on offer. Food was good pub fare with a reasonable variety. Everyone in a... More

We were headed to the Peterson Automotive Museum and looked for a place for lunch. This pub popped up at the top of the search and was within easy walking distance. What a cute little find this is! The decor is hunting lodge/english pub. It wasn't very crowded but we arrived after 2:00PM. Our waitress was delightful, charming, and efficient.... More

Met up with my grad school roommate and her husband for a Sunday afternoon lunch and a little imbibing. I had not darkened the threshold of Bergin's for 41 years when I then had an office at Wilshire & La Brea. Yes, we are both showing our age but maintain classic character (at least Bergin's does). Got there a little... More

We ate here while visiting The Petersen Museum. Easy walk from the museum and the burger was to die for. My husband got an excellent salad. Would eat here again.

Staying just about one block from this restaurant we decided to try it. Our server, Michael, told us that the restaurant opened in 1938 and used to be a favorite hangout for Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant, etc back in the 40s. The place is very well decorated inside. Nice bar area and nice dining area. Good selection of beer. But... More

Dress code is casual; reservations recommended but not required; The Irish Coffee is a must, it is perfect! I had the ribeye dinner which was that nights steak special. It came with smashed red potatoes and mixed veg. It was wonderful and really hit the spot. The host and my server were fantastic, friendly, and very willing to engage their... More

A great comfort food joint in LA. Try the deviled eggs for a starter and go with the corned beef and cabbage for a main. Loved it.
