I went there with my son and some friends. The bento boxes were really good with lots of food. We ordered some extra rolls a bit overpriced).

We eat here almost every week, but usually do takeout since the restaurant itself is dated, and they like to rush you out. But the food is excellent.

Our family stopped in here for a late lunch on a Saturday with another family (10 people total). The place was nearly empty, so the service was very responsive. The decor seems a bit odd, not particularly appealing (but not ugly, either). You get the sense this is a utilitarian workday lunch place, mostly. Two of us got noodle bowls,... More

My wife and I had a delightful bento lunch at Kamakura. The place is very nicely decorated and the staff is quite attentive. Standard fair Japanese menu althought it looked like they had a nice selection of sushi rolls.

Ok everyone, this isn't your run of the mill sushi bar. Tuna freshest I've ever had. Cherry blossom roll is a must. Impeccable service, Joy and Jay very attentive and amenable to substitutions and outstanding presentation

Good place for quick lunch. Pretty packed all the time, but wait is never too long due to extra seating upstairs. Decent sushi rolls, but nothing earth shattering here. Fast service makes it perfect for in snd out. Frequented by locals for many years. Stop by and try for yourself.

I go here about once a month for lunch with colleagues and the salmon sashimi is FABULOUS. Big chunks of fresh fish - enough really for two meals. I used to frequent Michi Sushi (in no small part to Mr. Shin), but I have to say that the salmon sashimi lunch at Kamakura runs rings around Michi's salmon sashimi.

So many great choices and be sure to try the Miso Soup. Open atmosphere offers a comfortable social setting or dine alone at the Sushi Bar. Staff offers friendly yet professional & quick service.

Have been here twice for lunch. The Salmon nigiri is always fresh but my favorites are the 911 roll and the cheesy fried roll with shrimp, avocado, jalapeño deep fried and with a cheesy sauce drizzled on it. The menu is filled with very interesting rolls but I found my favs and don't want to venture off. Nservice is good,... More

Both times I've eaten here I've been pleased with quality of the sushi. It's fresh and the portions generous. The fish to rice ratio on the sushi is so high that it borders on being sashimi. The salad and soup accompaniments are tasty. I am unlikely to return because on each visit the wait staff disappeared after delivering the food.... More
